A brief summary

Installed at Natural Bridge Speedway is one of the most advanced, economical, and universal Race Management Systems in the Dirt Track Racing industry. Online Laptime reports, Online Live Timing from anywhere, accurate timing, and many more features makes this some of the most crucial equipment that we use during our events. All cars are required to have a Transponder mounted on their car. This transponder emits a signal so that when the car crosses the loop antenna at the start/finish line, it will electronically score them. Using this race management system nearly eliminates the factor of human error in scoring the cars. Another crucial component to running events at Natural Bridge Speedway is a little device called a RACEceiver. A RACEceiver is a one-way communication device that allows officials to talk directly to drivers, keeping them safe from obstacles on the racing surface up ahead and also allowing us to speed up races by being able to talk to the drivers directly. This online rule book will give you the information needed for the use of Transponders and RACEceivers at our Speedway.

RaceCeiver General Rules

All classes that participate in Dirt Track Racing Events at Natural Bridge Speedway are required to have a RACEceiver that is fully charged, turned on, and in your ear during ALL racing activities. There are no exceptions on this rule. It is a major safety issue when not worn along with being an issue with our time management. We will periodically be checking for RACEceivers throughout the racing season. A lot of instructions are given via the RACEceiver that officials do not, so it's very easy to tell if a driver is not wearing a RACEceiver from the tower. Consequences from not wearing a RACEceiver could be disqualification, loss or reduction of points, and/or a minimal fine. Racetrack promoters will always have the final say in what consequence, if any, is given to a driver failing to comply with this rule.
